For this weekend there was $1000 for the first person to the top of the bounty hill on a bike (stock length swingarm and knobby tire)

No one with a qualifying bike made it over 1/3 of the way, and no 2 wheeled vehicle crested the top.

I wouldn't mind going and making a weekend out of this. Looks like a TON of fun.

Looks like you had a great time! When I see these vids I get mighty tempted to give it a go one day, but then I consider the level of commitment required to make these types of climbs and I decide discretion is the better part of valor. LOL

There's bold riders and old riders, but damn few bold old riders.

Best to wait for Fall or cooler weather. It was 100 in the shade friday, and likely 110-115 on the coal.

I can't say that wasn't a wise thought.

One of the guys made 2 runs friday and on the 3rd got stuck in a deep rut on one of the hills. He fought the bike about 1/2 way back down in 10 min before the heat got him. We had to go up and get his bike. That was the end of him for the day.

Yeah, I did some yard work saturday (weedwacker, push mower, cut some branches, etc) and just started to get really run down so I stopped without finishing then took a 15 minute cold shower and sat in front of a fan for ~45 minutes in 70dF house before I stopped sweating. Only about 90 minutes in the heat/sun doing light work nearly put me under.
