I don't know about yall, but im DYING to ride west of the mississippi. I'm thinking instead of 2 trips to Hatfield, we start thinking about riding Utah, Oregon, Colorado, etc. This is where you should post up your ideas and locations, dates, etc. Name the place and time, I'll arrange the trip.

Probably not what you were thinking, but I am hoping on going here: Trial Training Center

and back to Hatfield/McCoy in 2015. I've also decided to race Snowshoe in 2015. The wife is not very excited about all the VCHSS races and wants me to tone it down to one race a month...

spending 5 days in moab utah is pretty fcuking epic. a plated dual sport is recommended. also, it gets super hot there in summer, so april/may and sept/oct is prolly best to go.

i've ridden pike's peak and mount evans -- both paved tourist traps but cool. there is some off road trails above pike's peak that were fun. had a guy on adv rider map me out a route from buena vista, co to crested butte via fire roads. looked like an epic one day ride each way, but tried to do it in early june only to find 2 feet of snow above 11k feet. still had fun exploring fire roads near st. elmo, co. gotta go at the end of july when all the snow is melted.

there are some epic trails on the west side of cottonwood pass in colorado too, not too far from buena vista. if going in june, take a chainsaw along to cut trees that have fallen on steep side grades making the trail impassable. this is singletrack and can be really technical. excellent stuff.

Utah appears to be the most beautifullest place on Earth. Ive always wanted to go. Thanks for helping me make up my mind.
