Need to find a new storage facility for my trailer... - November 5, 2013, 11:46 AM

So my buddy is buying a new trailer and I have to move mine. <sniff>

I will check to see if they have opening in the same lot area, but I doubt it. It's pretty rare.

Anybody have other places near Ashburn? Distance then Cost are my two criteria for picking a new place. Security is obviously a good ting as well. I store mine empty, so I'm not going to lose anything out of it. But some security so I don't lose a trailer would be good.

Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?

Just put some lattice on it and park it behind your house

Is you buddy's new trailer big enough to fit your trailer inside of it?

Then your bike could be stored inside of a trailer, that's inside of a trailer ... can't have too much security around these parts.

Remind me to check the waiting list. I have been on it for 2 years. If you have to find another place get ready to be ass raped. Do you belong to a church? If you do try there. This is why I gave mine away.

Seriously?

I am hunting around for a track bike and trailer this winter and now you are telling me that I will be ass raped for trailer storage?

Maybe I should think twice about getting a trailer until I get a new place at least?

Even if you have your own place the county will ticket you unless it fits in your garage. Loudoun county sucks ass like that.

Interesting. I never thought Alexandria City would be more open to storing a trailer than Loudoun county. I can store mine at the house as long as it is behind a line the delineates the front of my house. There are also length restrictions based on the size of the lot, but that isn't an issue for most motorcycle trailers.

From what I read in the ordinances when moving back here from Wisconsin, even Arlington is OK with trailers as long as they aren't parked on the street.

Good luck with the search for a storage place.

I've done the local storage route before. Loudoun sucks in general for storage. Waaaaay too expensive for essentially unimproved dirt. Especially since I'm not allowed to keep it on my own property. (Despite have significantly more space than I would need.)

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you T. I've been as busy as a one legged man at an ass kicking contest lately.

You place is a bit far, but still a possibility. I'm hoping to find something near Ashburn. But reasonable and near Ashburn seem to be mutually exclusive.

The storage place off RT1 right at the 95 exit in lorton seems pretty good. 24/7 access.
I called one time, $130/month for the 22' spots.

Perhaps you missed it.

Ashburn.

Rt 1 / 95 is like 2+ hours for me to pick up my trailer for anything. Seems a bit excessive.
