Between the Michaux dual sport and the VCHSS race I know the number who are available to ride is reduced but... anyone interested in hitting shade mountain (Riding Areas | PaTRA) saturday?

Join the party! It's what all the old busted up riders do that don't end up on cruisers.

.... at least until they can't lift the damn ADV beasts anymore, then they go back to lightweight dirt bikes and putt around mumbling "Braaap, Braaap" to themselves and eating lots of ice cream.

I haven't hit that last chapter quite yet.

There's bold riders and old riders, but damn few bold old riders.

I don't think you would enjoy shade on a big bike. I'm not the best at judging terrain difficulty but shade has actual single track, a couple rocks here and there, and some loose hills (one of which I would like to try going up when I've got 1 or 2 others with me who are game - I've only gone down it so far).

I'm gonna go lightweight ADV moto. either a KLR, or maybe ADV out a Wee-Strom. haven't made up my mind, yet.

Still not a place to take either of those bikes

I'm out because of the vchss race. I just got the husky engine back yesterday so I'm working on putting that back together from the frame up.

Full rebuild and stroked to 177cc now.

Cool, lots of forest roads west of you to enjoy a bike like that on. I wouldn't mind having a klr myself.

Joe, that husky is looking good so far. I'm not a serious mechanic but even I enjoyed doing a complete rebuild on the kx.
