Race gas NOVA/Leesburg??? - April 17, 2014, 07:11 PM

Anybody know where to get high octane fuel around NOVA or Leesburg? I was wondering if it could be bought directly from small airports i.e. Manassas or Leesburg.

Cool, you made your way over here...

I'm pretty sure Jared is getting some from manassas. He'll probably be along.

Good deal...thanks...it looks like a good group for local info.

I think I'm getting some detonation in my smoker...I want to try high octane fuel before messing with the timing.

You might already know this but avgas isn't "race fuel".

To stop the pinging retarded the timing 1 degree from stock and run the 06+ needle if you have a 99-05.

You will get a smoother bottom end and more over-rev as a side effect

CNC use to have VP race gas out of the pump. Cheaper than cans.
