Saturday Ride at Taskers Gap (11/10/12) - November 8, 2012, 11:23 AM

So I've received a kitchen pass for riding this Saturday at Taskers. I'm not planning on particularly fast riding as my back isn't 100% yet. I figure it will be more of a skills ride. Work on slow speed riding, proper riding position, wheel placement, and other useful skills.

Who's up to ride? I'm leaving from Ashburn by about 7-7:30, Figure to be on trail by 9:30. Weather is supposed to hit mid 60's. SO it should be perfect riding weather.

After riding a tiny bit on the ttr125 while teaching my kids this past saturday I realized it's going to be awhile before I'm going to be able to ride off road without pain.

Have fun, dang it...

I may be in for this. Need to find a tires that don't suck balls at taskers, Running Pirelli MT44 tires that are 8 years old arent cutting it, no traction anywhere!

I have some take offs at home. What size tires do you need? Mine should be 18/21's. Some better than others. Mostly Dunlop Geomax 51's. Free if you can help clean out a bunch.

Do you know how to change tires?

Just got new springs for the forks in the WR, so I guess I'll be tearing them apart today to swap out haha.

You guys can take all of the ones I don't want anymore. Heck, if you don't like them, pass them to somebody who might.

I plan on definitely riding the Taskers side. I usually warm up on the Peters Mill side.

If I'm feeling frisky I might take the bitch trail on Peters Mill. Takers? It's slow. Rocky as hell. No rhythm is possible. Pain in the ass climb to start form the middle of PM. Just pure torture. Who's in?

Yes I will grab a pair for the DRZ, and April come ride regardless. Jess probably wont ride as the KLX is still torn apart as damage is a little more than I thought previously. New piston and wrist pin as well. Although the motor will be essentially new by the time we are done.

Don't worry about which trail. We wait for lost orphans, and point people to trails that fit skill sets. Plus, I want to work on a few skills - the slow speed, braking, and simple wheelies should be doable by anybody.

Yeah, I got my Dirtwise #3 & #4 videos. In fact I have one playing now.

There is a large tree down in the area where a certain beta owner got ko'd I've played on a bit. It is large enough to put the bike on the skid plate and have both wheels not touching the ground.

Dang it, now I am feeling bad. I thought it was all good, maybe ready for a valve adjustment (not replacement), but definitely nothing extensive. Sorry!
