Angry Sidi CrossFire SRS: Repair...where to get parts? - December 7, 2014, 07:30 PM

Ok so i only wore these boots twice and the first time the top wrap around came apart from the ankle mount (pics at the bottom)...this time with an onslaught of crashes into trees some kind of way I ript the ankle out of the plastic on the opposite side.

Anyone know where I can get a replacement part?

The loop looking ring thins ript out of the plastic portion of the housing.

I found mine from an ebay seller. There doesn't appear to be any currently on there in the US right now though.

Mine original ones were the old style with the c-clips and they kept pulling out. I've got the style you have now and they are much better than the old ones.

Yea it took a while for me to get my hands on them and I had to get white ones. Meh. They were $65 shipped.

Side note, imagine what your foot would have looked like without the boot. I'll take some inconvenience on having to find new parts vs a(nother) broken leg/foot.

Your welcome. Every few years the screws on my Race Verts back out and get lost. I call them up and they send me a baggie full free.

Motonation had it set up to pay only via CC and you have to have it shipped to billing address.

For me that can be an issue as UPS leaves packages on the front porch, and random vagrants tend to steal packages this time of year off the front porch. I normally have my shit sent to my parents house...

So they sent me to motorcycle super store.
This was a better deal...
At moto nation they only have the rubber upper boot for $60 plus a killer $17 total in shipping.
$77

Motorcycle super store had the boot, the heel plates, and all the rings and screws for $70 total free shipping.

Sidi Crossfire Boot Covered Pivot - Motorcycle Superstore

so I placed my order with them. Hope it gets here b4 my next outing....or ill be rocking the UBER stiff O'Neals....
(already started cleaning the dirt off them lol.)

Not to be a downer, but I ordered a set from MSS before and 1-2 months later I cancelled the order because they could never actually get them.

Hope you have better luck than I did.

Is that the left side? I MIGHT have an old style upper that is decent if you can't get a replacement in a timely fashion. I ripped the holes out of the upper on my right boot IIRC.

Old style upper should swap right on, just have to change the pivot pins (which I have a bunch of plus the clips).

you mean the original Crossfire gen 1? or original Cross fire gen 2?

I should have the gen 2, but the replacement parts are different...they screw down vs molded together.

Did you order yours from motonation? or motorcycle super store?

Forgot they changed for the gen 2's. I have gen 1 boots but with the updated uppers now which use the same pivot system as the current gen 2's. I'll have to look at some pics later and see how different they actually are (gen 1 vs 2)

I originally ordered from motorcycle super store but they ended up not being able to get them. In the end I got a set from ebay, but I don't think it was a big retailer that was selling them. I'll look up the receipt and see if I can figure out who was selling them.
