summit point supermoto ??? - April 27, 2009, 04:28 PM

Dennis from RacedayPhoto posted this over on the TPM board. I thought some of the folks here might want to show some support.

quote dennis:
Summit Point Raceway in WV is considering making a gocart/sm track. They approached me today to see what kind of interest there would be. They have more then enough room and are really into doing this project.
I set up an email account to collect mail in support and offering opinions. If any race organizations show interest, its a done deal. But any demonstrated insterest will help. Please email summitpointsmtrack@racedayphoto.com. And we could have a new track at reasonable prices in our future.

Dennis Race Day Photo......Spread the word!!!!!

end quote:

maybe they could be convinced to build a real supermoto track complete with dirt and jumps.

F THAT!

I spend way too much doing all this racing as it is. I don't need another bleeding artery.

FUCK BILL SCOTT, this is bullshit, I love supermoto and would be super stoked, but I would not touch the track on principle alone, fix main, then expand

Confusing the issue, since before you were ugly.

Add me to the "f them until they properly fix main" list. I would love to race sumo there but it just ain't feasible. Someone must have told Bill that you can charge the same for supermoto races and practice as you can for regular racing.

I agree with all of the above. Main needs to be fixed and I can't support them in building new when the old if fucked!

Fuck main. Tell him to build an SM track and there will be no more need to hit the big track. If they build it on the opposite side of the straight from the pits, they can incorporate some of the existing dirt tracks (check out the google satellite images to see what I'm talking about). If this gets built I'll pick up another SM in a heartbeat, as long as they run it right. Non-SM race weekends need to be all day open practice for $30-$40.
