Supermoto TPM Shenny Days??? - May 13, 2010, 09:24 PM

Any of you doing the Shenny days coming up with TPM? Looks like they have dates 6/12-13, and 7/10-11. Id like to play on Shenny, but I'm a little worried about other 600s and 1Ks out there with me.

I was thinking about requesting to run White or Red, being my first time on track with Motard. But then again maybe blue would be safest. Whacha think?

How much to join TPM? I'm only a member of RL, and they aren't on Shenny again until August, I think.

FYI Payton who set up the first ever supermoto day at Summit is scheming with Jens to combine the clay-surface rally course with the Shenandoah circuit. While my bike was really too big for the last one, this combination will be another story so I'm really hoping it happens. It'll be my redemption.

Shenny or Jefferson? I heard it's the latter. Either works as long as they get some good dirt.

TPM has this new Full Throttle Membership that's $295 for the year. Which is a lot but they lowered track day fees to $125 w/e, $100 mon and fri, $75 tues-thurs. It pays for itself if you do like 5 days.

When talking to Peyton he did mention that a Supermoto Track Designer may come in to help shape a course.

My only issue is how slick that track looked. Is it always that slick? (I haven't actually ridden it, so Ill reserve judgement until then.) I'd like to ride with some grip to push a little and see what my Husky can do, instead of tip toe around. Which is why I'd like to try shenny.

It's gotta have some grip, I have to practice:

TPM is at Shenny just about every month, 10+ days.

Jens said we could chat about Summit's safety issues soon and I'll probe him about the supermoto stuff also.

I hated the motards out there with the sportbikes, getting in the way, all upright...now I'm gona be one! lol Cant wait!
