Supermoto track day - February 22, 2010, 08:48 AM

I'm trying to put one together to knock off some cobwebs before the season gets started. I thought maybe some of you guys who have wanted to try it out might be interested so here's your chance.

I'm talking to a couple of places right now so a date time and location has not be set however:

1) This will be on a small track suited to real supermotos but with no dirt.
2) Track will be within 1 to 1 1/2 hours of the DC Area.
3) I have no cost figures right now. Waiting for the tracks in question to respond.
4) If this happens on a weekend, it WILL NOT conflict with any Grassroots, ESMRA, CCS, or WERA weekends.
5) This will probably be a 10 person max.
6) You need gear. Don't think you're going to wear jeans out there because it's a private day.
7) This will be a supermoto ONLY event.

I need to know who might be in and if you can make a weekday. No "I prefer a weekend" stuff. Hell we all prefer a weekend, but a weekday will probably be MUCH cheaper.

I have no other details to offer yet.

So long as it's not ridiculously expensive, count me in. I do not prefer a non-weekday (sorry couldn't resist). You make the arrangement, and I'll make the time.

I'm sure insurance will be the killer in this. We'll see. I'm convinced it's the end of days based off the enthusiastic response I got from a certain venue. More on that later.

If I can hitch a ride from DC area with someone, and assuming it's not expensive, you can pretty much count me in.

U allowing clubmans to run... (basically - street tires on a Dual Sport rims - like avon roadmasters) or are you requiring 17 in rims.

Only if the track requires it. If it does we can get you setup.

What kind of Sumo track? Dirt sections or just a paved road coarse? I would love to do this but we will have to see if I can get a sumo bike by then.
