Taskers this Sunday 8/11/2013? - August 6, 2013, 06:16 AM

So I want to try out a different suspension on the XCW. Anyone want to go? Say meet at the upper lot around 10?

I just got a warning yesterday from a regular at Taskers

It appears some folks have been tearing up the parking area with 4 wheelers
The Rangers are now checking your wrist bands,
If you don't have
them Filled out and dated $50 fine
if you don't have the wrist bands $250 fine

While its not everyone, a few bad apples cause problems for everyone

just make sure you purchase and fill them out and you shouldn't have any issues.

Or just spend the $30 and get the year pass...

Last time we where there you could tell the parking lot had been used as a race track from 4wheelers. I just do not understand with all the trails there why people feel the need to tear up the place where you park.

Because these are people who can't ride for shit, even on a 4-wheeler, they are unable to navigate trails... Doesn't surprise me unfortunately.

This is not an onerous problem. This is what we should be doing anyway. I do make a point of getting a pass and filling it out each time up there. It's $5 and goes to a good cause.

Now when they are in BS mode and giving stupid tickets....then I have an issue. But I've only seen that once in the 10-15 years of riding up there.

And doing a lap top warm the engine and check the bike is one thing. (Slow speed, no hooliganism). Doing pit races there when they have done so much to make it a great parking area is stupid.

Dang, thanks for the heads up! I always purchase a band on the way up there and I'm happy to pay the $5.00 each time to help support the area. However I don't think I've EVER bothered to fill it in. $50.00 for not filling it out strikes me as a serious chicken shyt ticket. How many days is anyone going to wear a tyvex wrist band? Enforcement is good - extortion not so much...

Not anymore. Now I plan rides and track days and just don't show up. Much easier than kickstarting.
