Mike, I don't think so. I have heard tales (from a regular enduro rider who also runs enduros) of trailers finishing races (er, using the trailer tag).

Just some hints:

1. Hydrate.
2. Pace yourself.
3. Guu, energy gel, etc

If you have watched the video, I would consider the trails mildly technical and fun. Certainly not a difficult ride yet. But after 500 riders hit that 18 inch trail - expect whoops & ruts galore.

If you haven't ridden more than 30 miles in a day, you are gonna be sore and whipped. If you have done 60+ miles in a day, you are gonna be sore and whipped. And not .net ride miles. Those are easy by comparison. Ride 500 feet, take an hour break, repeat. This ain't that.

That being said, looked like one of the easier enduros from that video. I wasn't seeing too much rock or ridiculous hills. Have fun, I can't make it. <sniff>

I will be up for a closed course enduro but I can't even pretend to be legal at this point. I've gotta look at the schedule and see if there are any more closed course ones in the area (besides the one that already happened this year).

damn. My nephew and his friends are going to this and I was going to go as well. He mentioned that this is one of the easiest enduro races (comparatively) in the area.

have fun to any that go, wish I would be there.

Wow! I only got through 6 minutes of that video. Looks amazing but fucking tiring. Makes me want a dirt bike.

Do they have these types of runs/trails for ATV's? Not race style, more recreational.

It seems like it's relatively easy to find ATV trails. Check the links in here: Off road links

Trails in enduros like this one are not regularly used and are often freshly cut. I know the ones in this particular enduro were cut and maintained very recently so they will be very nice at the start of the day. I know one of the guys who cuts trails and he relishes finding bits ~29" between the trees to challenge folks.

Green Marble entry form is at Green Marble Enduro Riders.
Some of that video is trail I cut for this event. If you have a dirt bike and are on the fence about it, just give me a call I'll talk you into it. I'll get you street legal too. It's seriously the most fun you can have on a dirt bike. I'm an old fat slow guy and I ride these trails for fun. I'm going to be out in the woods the next 4 weekends, and I am always always willing to drag you along, show you all about how to ride enduro, and just generally have a good time. I'll be honest, we found three baseball size rocks in the woods while we were cutting trail and we threw them into the trail just so it wouldn't be too easy. Want to help out and work the event? I'll put you on a check point crew and you'll get so pumped up you'll go right out and buy a dirt bike. Want to just go trail riding on our private trails? Let's go! I go up to play ride almost every weekend and we have to ride it to staple arrows up and then ride it to go peel them down too. This weekend I am walking trail and weed-whacking and trimming face slappers to make it fun for you guys.

Sounds fun, Chuck. I might take you up on the trail riding offer one of these days. I think Joe earned a trophy at one of your events and speaks highly of his experience.
