Tell me about it. I knew of 3 different rides yesterday....and did none of them. And my bike is sitting there ready to go. Grrrr.

Too much damned work.

The big question is, will Keener be riding the 300, the 150 or the 110?

I kinda....broke my XC.

Luckily I have smarter friends who are internet savvy. Jar found a 300SX upgrade kit for my 300. $350-400 cheaper than just the OEM cyclinder. Which is funny. Because it contains an OEM cylinder, powervalve, gaskets, o-rings, etc. And an SX CDI. For less than the stock XC cylinder - and then I was able to sneak in on the black friday / cyber monday 25% off deal on OEM parts to boot. So instead of my January maintenance cycle, I get a December repair and upgrade one.

I'm not complaining. Yet.

So, what are the implications of the new parts? Higher strung bike? Are you going to use all the parts (e.g., cdi)? Now that I'm more accustomed to the kx I'm ready to put the ignition back to normal and maybe swap the standard throttle tube back. I may have made it too mellow...

Should be more power. The 2013 cylinder has slightly more HP through port revisions than the 8-12 cylinders. The only difference between the sx and xc kits are the head.

Muds bike should be snappier than his current setup, but mellower than the sx due to the 28lb flywheel and rekluse.

And that's kinda what I want. A bit more snap out of the corners.

And I want to try the Gnarly against the Fatty expansion chambers to see which I like. My impression currently is that the gnarly had more low torque, but the Fatty comes on with a harder/faster hit of power. (But that could easily be a seat of the pants impression that's due to the differing speeds coming out.)

Are any of you interested in a practice day out there before the race?
