Wasn't there a WR250 two stroke in the 90s? I wonder why they want to go with the YZ name for the North American model.

Yep, they used to call them WRs and before that ITs. I used to ride a friend's IT175 when I was a kid. I couldn't ride it out in the open. I needed to use a tree to get on and off the thing.

I thought so, but Google was only giving me the WR250 four strokes. To me WR means woods/trails and YZ means MX.

Yeah, seems weird. They're calling it a cross country bike but those don't usually have headlights.

The WR is really more to specify the transmission. Wide Ratio. So this is a yz250x with a wide ratio transmission for enduro riding and racing.

About time they made a wr again. There wasn't much r&d needed considering its a yz with a wr 450 transmission and 18" wheel.

THIS, I might actually go back to a 2t if this comes to fruition by next spring/summer.

Nevermind, looks like it is the exact same bike as the yz250x that is already out. Didn't realize the x had the wide ration trans
