Bought a couch. It came with engine and wheels. - July 21, 2014, 12:34 PM

Well, after lookin around for a cruiser, I took a ride on one of these. Decided straightaway that I had to have one.

Few things I've noticed.

The brembo built ABS system is fucking GREAT. Doesn't feel like a 900 lb bike when you're stopping.

The rear cylinder shutoff thingy that's been in these bikes for a few years works great. Despite being air cooled, i havent had issues at stoplights , despite spending hours the other day riding in 100 degree weather.

Taking a leisurely ride through some sweepers, music up, cruise control on... I get it. I totally understand the appeal of big touring bikes now. My wife and I have ridden together more in a week than we have in a year on the Strom.

Once i get into the house, cheapie sportbike will be added to the stable for track days and occasional spirited stuff. But for now, this thing is it, and I really love it.

Pics incoming

Its like sitting on an easy chair, no joke man.

I've had some comfy seats (including a sargent on the first superhawk), but this thing. Gat damn.

I've also got my eye on cheap 'hawks in the area. Once we sell the VA house and get one here, i'm getting a superhawk. That thread made me want another (will be number three! haha)

Have you ever tried a Goldwing or K1600 GTL? I'd be curious how they compare comfort-wise.

Havent tried the K1600. So can't say anything there.

However, I have ridden several goldwings. I love goldwings, as a matter of fact.

The GL1800s are too small for me. I know that sounds weird. But my knees hit the fairing and whatnot.

GL1500s are much better and if I was gonna get a goldwing, that'd be what Id get

Congrats, she's a beauty! I'm going to Vegas in three weeks and plan on renting one of these to do a tour of the Valley of Fire and Hoover Dam. They look super comfy and I'm hoping the weight isn't an issue. Although my worst fear is liking one so much that I'm forced to buy it when I come home.

Perfect bike for a trip like that.

I did a lot of research on these as I was looking. Deals can be had. You may love it
