Ask your MARRC Corner Worker questions here... - June 18, 2008, 03:28 PM

As more and more of you express interest in becoming cornerworkers at Summit Point Raceway for CCS/ASRA & WERA events, I often find many of you have similar questions about getting started and how it all works.

I am starting this thread for you to ask questions and get them answered by the many MARRC Safety Crew Members on the forum. I will sticky it to keep it at the top.

****Please do not postwhore or threadjack this thread or the forum moderator may delete what you write, as this thread is meant to be helpful and answer questions. Thanks****

I'm getting a lot of PM's from folks who want to be added to the gate list to take the Cornerworker School or to work with the Safety Crew. This is no problem and I'm happy to do it. However, please make sure you include your name in the PM...some of you peeps are forgetting and the guard on the gate wont accept names like "buttnaked" or "avinabadday" !!!!

Gate List - August 6, 2008, 08:36 AM

The Gate List is e-mailed to Summit Point Management at 10 am on the day previous to an event weekend (remember, this could be Thursday if its a three day weekend). If you want to work with MARRC please allow enough time for me to update the list before I send it.
If for some reason you are not on the list, or Summits Management doesn't put it out, you can still get reimbursed at the track.
To be included on the gate list contact signup@marrc.org or PM me.

Big B-

The dates Simon posted are correct. i plan to put up a thread before each race weekend as a reminder. I am planinning to do it two weeks in advance, because experience has shown me that if i do it sooner it just gets lost in the shuffle and on this site getting people to commit any sooner than that is a lesson in futility.

If you want to sign up for the safety academy on any of those weekends, please feel free to PM Simon, or myself and we will make sure you get all the info you need and added to the gate list so you don't have to pay to get in.

Show up at the cafe area at 9AM and we will get you all squared away.

We will be emailing you some info in the next couple of days that will help answer your questions.

Hi guys/gals,

I just wanted to let you know that I have been named the new webmaster for the www.marrc.org site. For starters, I have updated the home, calendar and Road Racing pages with updated information for now. Please take a look and let me know if there are any problems.

Best regards,

Horacio, it looks great and thank you for taking on the responsibility.

One thing I've always wished for the site was updated pictures. Quite a few photographers have taken some outstanding shots that frequent .net. I'm sure with a picture credit and link to a website that could be accomplished.
