The BAT fund - May 29, 2015, 04:07 PM

The club is looking to replace the really old stepvan aka BAT, we use for hauling around all the equipment. Too many things needing repair or replacement and we would still have a really old truck if we fixed everything.

So now we're looking to raise some funds. Already got some good donations, so thanks for those.

I know there are people out there that would like to come out and work with us but just don't have the time. Well that's no reason to not become a member anyways.

Do you know IT? The club could even use those skills and that wouldn't require your presence at the track. But you would still get credit for days worked.

Bob, of E-Tech photo is even a member. The membership fees can help fund a new truck. Membership doesn't require any direct participation by you, though we would like all members to take part in any votes for directors, awards and by-laws changes.

Some benefits of MARRC membership:
Discounts at some local shops
A discount on MARRC trackdays
Entry to club social events

Eligible to receive payouts from the Injured Members Fund should you have a bad wreck during a race or trackday. More than $10,000 had been paid out to members over the past 14 years.

Website, database stuff, email, and admin stuff.

I don't know all the details but our current guy who lives out of country is looking to get out of it, but I believe still providing us with server space.

Ideally we'd have a few people who know what they're doing.

We're working on getting him to tell us what it all involves.

You should probably partition that out.

Web work

Member database

e-mail/admin

Any one of those can take up significant time.
