I figured this deserved its own thread.

Will be seen at a Kart track near you pretty soon. Maybe Tasker's or Wicomico sooner

So far I've decided that I need to replace fork seals and whatnot, rejet it a little bit for supermoto, replace grips/throttle tube, and throw some streeter tires on it. Can't wait, running to my shop tomorrow to start getting pricing estimates/deals hopefully on everything tomorrow after class.

get the SKF seals, they are FAR better and as of 2012 oem parts. I've been buying the SXS fork rebuild kits (PN R14020 for 10+ CC forks) since that are such a great deal. You may want to look into them as then come with SKF seals and bushings for about the price of just seals.

as for parts.. matto may be 15% but PSW is 40% which for KTM it unbeatable

currently munn has the best price I've seen on the kits @ $85 not sure why but PSW has them for $95.

Also since it's made for the cc forks there will be left over parts and one bushing (the 03-04's had 3 instead of the normal 2) that does not get replaced by the kit.

ah ok, so does that mean I just leave in the one that looks the best? Or is there a unique one that will stay in? I'll start combing KTMtalk for these kinds of things as well

The kit has 2 bushings that match the forks. the forks have a additional that would either be left in or you would need to order an additional (2) to replace it as well.

Or a common mod to the 03-04 forks is to remove the 3rd bushing as it caused excess stiction / binding (just do a search in the suspension forum of ktm talk.)
