Help me out here. Is there a Euro-centric reason why this is only a 125? Seems like it would be great competition here in the states for the ninja 250 and maybe even the WR250X, if it were a 250. But 125 seems ridiculously small. I really like the looks though. Put a 250+ in that format, and we'll talk.

Its most likely Euro only and its geared toward youngsters who are just starting out on the road.
I want to see a small displacement twin in something like that, but then it would just be a monster I suppose.

yes, in many Euro countries 125 is a license class

start on a 50, 125 and so on. Graduated licensing

not always a bad thing

still would be a fun bike to stunt around on

Or a grenade made by Aprilia.

If this does show up in the US, KTM will have to figure out a way to offer them for under $10,000. And by under, I mean quite a bit under. Nobody is going to spend $8,000 on a 125 in this country, even if it has brembo-everything.

Doubt it. I honestly don't think they would sell many here.

I am pretty sure no on road motorcycles under 250cc will be imported. Our road systems are vastly different from Europe. In metro areas in the US it's hard to really get anywhere with out getting on a highway. Highways require at least 250cc to ride on them. Even in rural areas it's hard not to get on a highway.

Scooters are a whole different baby.

Honda makes a CB125. it's pretty neat. They have them in Canada but never here.

They are following the Honda business model. Give the people exactly what they don't want.
