Anyone interested in a Vintage/Classic Cafe Coffee Night? - October 12, 2011, 09:06 AM

I've been taking the Scram downtown Frederick lately, now that I live in the area. Getting a lot of attention and meeting a lot of folks who either have, want to have, or are restoring some kind of vintage, cafe, classic, or modern retro.

There's a coffe shop thats pretty cool and seems to always have one or two cool bikes outside.

Its a little late in the season, but I'm going to try to get a classic cafe night going weekly. Probably be a Monday or Thursday.

I don't have many vintage/retro riders on the board are close to Frederick, just gauging interest.

I'm going to start it local to me for now, because it will be easy to commit to with my busy work schedule, but hopefully can branch out in the spring.

Let me know!

Thanks for your input. I'm gonna just kinda lay low over the winter, but if it takes off in the Spring try to have a cruise night where we hit up a few different coffee shops. Stay tuned.

Same here Depending on what time, though. Frederick is about an hour from me so It's not horrible. Especially up Rt 15.
Definitely be down if you switch it up to G'town, Tysons, etc.

Thanks again for the input guys!
I figured this was the response I was going to get. The big problem is my work schedule... don't get until late most nights. If there is enough interst, but no one wanting to come to Frederick, I may just meet with a few yocals during the week and maybe do a breakfast meet on Sundays. We'll see how it plays out.

I think thats the plan Dutch. Gonna start small over the fall and winter with the locals here in Frederick area. Get a lil group together, then plan some rides in the spring.

make it a real cafe loop and we'll set up a cafe point here in the Farifax area...pick the ride up at either end

I like vintage bikes. I have been doing vintage gatherings in DC lately. They are fun. Fredneck is far. I have been wanting to go there tho, I hear the downtown area is nice.

How about a gathering for those of us in Northern VA? There's sevral late night cafe's in the Fairfax area, and we could even meet up like real cafe racers!

(Thanks, incidentally for the suggestion of a Frederick meetup, but like several others, that's just a bit too far for a weeknight jaunt)..maybe on a weekend...

Dave and Tonup - thanks for the response. I think we can definitely get something going. Like I said, we may have to stay local during the week (especially during colder months) but get to gether on the weekends. I'll go down some days, you guys come up some days.

I would love to host a little Fall gathering up here in Frederick.
I know some nice backs roads and a few great coffe shops!
Maybe and upcoming Sunday.

Stay in touch.
